Recipe: Chicken Paprika

 

The Ingredients

 

4  to 6 pieces of chicken thighs / wings / drumsticks

3 tablespoons paprika

2 tablespoons chili powder

1  teaspoon of turmeric powder

1  tablespoon of cinnamon powder

1/4 teaspoon cayenne powder and black pepper powder

3 tablespoon of cooking oil

4 teaspoons of lime juice, orange juice and lemon juice

A pinch of salt and a pinch of sugar

 

 

How to Prepare the dish 

 Chicken Paprika

 

! Buy a freshly cut chicken pieces

! Wash, clean and trim any fat

! Use a dry towel to drain water from the chicken pieces

! Pour all ingredients into the chicken pieces

! Marinate for at least 30 minutes or 1 hour

 

Cooking process:

A. Use the oven

o Pre – heat oven to 350°F 

 

o Place all ingredients into a large baking dish, turn chicken to coat.

o Bake until chicken juices runs clear

0 Cooking time – 45-55 minutes for chicken thighs 

 

B.  Use  the crock pot:, cook on low for 5-7 hours  until done

 

C. Using a non-stick sauce pan 

o Pre-heat the non stick saucepan,

o pour sufficient cooking oil into the pan

o deep fry the chicken thighs until cooked

o Add: 6 to 8  Curry leaves / young basil leaves / mint leaves  3 to 5 minutes before the dish is served
